Let's get this party started.....

So another year another season......

The prospect of a fresh new set of fixtures fills one with anticipation.....but one question in particular has got it's hand up, using the other hand to keep it up and grunting to attract the attention of the teacher.....will fulham belles keep a clean sheet this season.

Obviously this is possibly an answer that cannot be answered in one blog post, it's akin to asking is there definitely a heaven, or does cheese definitely encourage weird dreams or even where do babies cone from. However as with all great enquiries an outpouring of internal musings is the best way to go....hang whether anyone is actually reading them(which I know they aren't, I see the site statistics.)

So......according to coach Mooreinho "defending is 70% being in the right place." I am no mathematician but I query this statement. 99.9% of the time the fulham belles team was on the correct pitch at the correct time yet the ball, had an alarming habit of crossing our goal line.

So on the basis that merely 'turning up' is not going to do it.... What other answers are there. Here are a few suggestions:

1. Face the right way......9/10 times this helps

2. If you are the keeper don't direct your goal kick at the oppositions striker. This inevitably ends in a goal and also loss of dignity, embarrassment etc....

3. Short corners....no. Just no.

4. Head the ball - hey let's givevthis a go. I have seen people do this and their eyeballs/brains do not fly out. And it's quite good at stopping the ball going into the goal ( and at the other end it helps.)

So there we are. Problem solved.
